Day 1: Hanoi – Pu Luong
Your private car and local guide will arrive to pick you up at your hotel at 7:00 a.m. then drive towards Pu Luong Nature Reserve to explore the untouched and tranquil land of the ethnic minorities’ villages. The five hour will have a scheduled stop for a Vietnamese lunch on the way.
Upon arrival at the Co Lung commune, the tour will begin a 1.5 hour walking trip alongside the road in the Thai’s village. You will have several photo beautiful photo opportunities withnumerous working water-wheels, one of the unique cultural features of Thai and Muong people who livewithin the Pu Luong Nature Reserve.
The tour will then arrive in Hieu Hamlet, the beautiful and most remote village in Pu Luong Nature Reserve. You will continue onhiking up to the gorgeous waterfall and come to the stilt house for overnight homestay. On the hiking path, the timeless land liestottering on the back side of the mountain with rice paddy terracessittingnext to the skyline. The travel magazine worthy photographs will capture your imagination for years to come.
For dinner, you will enjoyauthentic specialties andhomestay in a traditional stilt-house used by the Black Thais and look out on fairytale views from the windows.
If you prefer to spend the night in a more private atmostphere then a local private bungalow nearby the waterfall can be available if pre-booked.
Day 2: Pu Luong – Hanoi
A traditionally made and locally sourced breakfast will be prepared by locals thenthe tour will move on from theHieu Hamlet. You can then try the experience of a local “Xe Om”, a motorbike taxi, from the village to the next meeting point where our private car will transfer you through the beautiful and peaceful path along still working water wheels. A quick stop by Pho Doan Market,to take in the hustle and bustle of the northwest upland fair,and thenthe tour will start the 3 hour hike with a local tour guide. To get off the beaten track, we will trek through a beautiful valley and reach the Kho Muong Village where you will be welcomed by friendly and happy host and invited to share in some local specialties for lunch.
Before leaving the Kho Muong Village you will probably want to take a short rest and enjoy the scenery. He tour group will then meet the private car and start the return drive to your hotel in Hanoi by the afternoon. Dinner can be served along the way back to Hanoi upon your request. The trip back will end at your hotel in Hanoi before 19:30.
